6th Form
With currently over 250 pupils in
the Menzies High School Science College 6th Form. It
is the largest 6th Form College in the North of
Sandwell and it is the lead consortium in the post
16 studies programme. MHSSC works in partnership
with its consortium schools to provide an All
Ability 6th Form College.
Our 6th Form College is a
friendly, caring and sharing part of the school
which is based on respect, commitment and enthusiasm
from its pupils and staff. By encouraging quality
work and positive social interaction we strive for
an adult atmosphere where staff and pupils can work
in partnership.
We are very proud of the wide
range of academic studies that our pupils can
follow. These include vocational level 1 and 2
courses; GCSE courses and the more traditional A
level courses, where over 95% of our upper sixth
pupils will then enter their chosen University
course to study at degree level.
Alongside the wide range of
courses, we are delighted to be able to offer our
6th Form Pupils a broad range of activities that
enable them to become independent learners who have
experienced working in the community and with
different charities. We expect all our 6th Formers
to have significantly contributed to the social
aspects of developing into a mature, socially
acceptable citizen.
What
can pupils expect in the 6th Form

taught at different levels, usually taught in
small classes by experienced enthusiastic well
qualified teachers.
